Law Enforcement Responding to ‘High-Risk’ Situation Near Westcliffe

Law enforcement is currently responding to a “high-risk” situation near Westcliffe, Colorado. The situation is unfolding near Rocky Ridge Road, and officials are advising residents to lock down and shelter in place.

According to Custer County Sheriff Rich Smith, the situation began with a report of shots fired. When deputies arrived, they found multiple people dead, and a suspect fled the scene.
